The steps for installing LTS 3.0.4 are the same as installing LTS 3.0.1. Because of that this guide is just the installation guide for LTS 3.0.1. Simply substitue 3.0.4 in place of anything that says 3.0.1, and 304 in place of anything that says 301.

x86_64 (AMD 64, Opteron, Xeon with 64 bit extensions)
Scientific Linux Fermi LTS 3.0.4 is the first Fermi Linux release that supports 64 bit architecture. But supprisingly, installation and use are pretty much the same. To install, simply follow the instructions for a normal i386 install, except whenever you see and i386, substibute x86_64
An example is that the nfs install path is
/export/linux/lts304/x86_64
