CSS Department Build Machines

The following machines are the designated build machines for the CSS department. They should not be upgraded or modified without due consideration from the appropriate political entities. (At the time of the writing of this document, the "appropriate political entities" include CSI, the FUE Working Group, CEPA/APS and anybody else who happens to hold an opinion on the matter).

The build cluster is now its own NIS domain, with "bldmiester.fnal.gov" as the NIS master, and it has its own console server "trocious.fnal.gov". Many of the systems are connected to the SCSI patch panel for tape and disk drive testing, but as this has been largely unused for over a year, newer systems are not neccesarily being connected to it.
