we have to machines that were running FRH 5.0.2 elsewhere (at Harvard),
so the hardware is known to work. We moved them to Fermilab (CDF
trailers), had them hooked to the network, and now I'm trying to
make the necessary changes in the network configuration so that they
can talk to the rest of the world.
My understanding is that I only need to change a few files. I used
the control-panel to change the IP addresses of the nameserver and
the machines themselves. Nevertheless, when I reboot them, the
network is still unreachable (the message I get when I try to ping
the nameserver). Clearly, I haven't changed all I needed.
Does anyone have an exhausting list of config files in FRH 5.x that need
to changed in such a situation? I'll appreciated any help or hints...
