Hi,

On a recently acquired laptop, with a 14.1 Color TFT LCD 1024x768 XGA
screen and an ATI 3D Rage LT PRO VGA AGP controller chip, I'm having trouble
setting up X.

In windows 98, I have 1024x768 screen with a verticle frequency of 60
Hz. The X-server crashed after some messages like:

(--) Mach64: PCI: Mach64 Rage LT Pro rev 220, Aperture @ 0xfd000000, Registers @
0xfedfe000, Block I/O @ 0xe800
(--) Mach64: Card type: AGP
(--) Mach64: Memory type: SGRAM (5)
(--) Mach64: Clock type: Internal
(--) Mach64: Maximum allowed dot-clock: 230.000 MHz
(--) Mach64: There is no mode definition named "1024x768"

Fatal server error:
No valid modes found.

Can anyone suggest a quick fix?

Thanks,

Jeff
