Having analyzed some "successful" fmb cpio mode backups from d0lvbld3 and
having spoken to Marc Mengel it is my opinion at this time that the
backups are largely unreadable. I will continue to look into this matter
and give you the facts rather than my opinions when I have them. In the
meantime, data may be lost. Marc Mengel says that this is a "known"
problem of Version 6.7
[root@d0lxbld3 backups]# ups list -a fmb
DATABASE=/fnal/ups/db
Product=fmb Version=v6_7 Flavor=NULL
Qualifiers="" Chain=current
Version 6.8 is available and, Marc says, fixes this problem.
We should update fmb at once on all linux boxes (or switch to tar until we
do).
[root@d0lxbld3 backups]# upd list -a fmb
DATABASE=/ftp/upsdb
