IRIX 6.2 and LINUX

Hi,

I find a rather strange behavier of
LINUX X11 in connection with IRIX 6.2.
Wenn adding a new font path on an IRIX
machine connected to a LINUX DISPLAY via:
xset fp+ /myfonts
I get a "Bus error" with core dump.
This does NOT occur from systems with
IRIX 5.3. Anybody an Idea what causes this
and how to fix it?
