I've just read the instructions, and this is all very well, but:

[purpc03-KCC_3_3] ~ % /usr/sbin/showmount -e linux
Export list for linux:
/export/linux/test rocket.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov
/export/linux/50test
rocket.fnal.gov,sapphire.fnal.gov,topaz.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov
/export/IRIX (everyone)
/export/linux/current rocket.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov
/export/linux/501
rocket.fnal.gov,sapphire.fnal.gov,topaz.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov
/export/linux/generic
sapphire.fnal.gov,rocket.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov
/export/linux/51test rocket.fnal.gov,trocious.fnal.gov,pretorian.fnal.gov

ie *very* restricted mount access (except /export/IRIX, which is actively
dangerous), meaning no-one can actually install from linux.fnal.gov!

Could someone comment on this, please? Connie?

Also, can I suggest as a matter of form that `current' be moved to 502 (or
whatever), and `current' be set up as a soft link?

Thanks,
Chris.
